Story

Earth scent is fresh,
Hangs in the air,
Cold damp mists surrounds the lights,
Bodies are walking tonight,
But only a few of them aren't dead.

They come out from every corner,
Shambling rabble scrabbling rubble,
Some we knew,
Some we still haven't forgotten,
And so many others.

But they're not here to eat you,

They repeat the familiar beat,
So long gone,
Almost forgotten,

The Manor welcomes... everyone.
Enter, enter, lost travellers,
You will find shelter for the night,
And maybe... a friend?

The sun has set,

A healthy wolf is a happy cub!

No biting people, no chasing!
A Pink werewolf is a nice pup!

Oï, who put me in a sock?!

It's dark in here, and it stinks!
I was haunting a nice chest,
What happened?!

Ah, the young ghosts and their games,
Old me has to fend for themselves now,
Now where is that creepy mirror?

I used to know my way around,
My memory's not what it used to be,
Didn't I use to wail in the attic?

Ah, I see the humans have children now,
Playing in dark corners, easily scared,
I have a few tricks left, they'll see!

Whoo and a dog, I love dogs,
That's it, let's pet the dog,
Cozy by the fire, warming an old ghost's bones...

Well, gosh darnitt, ain't that a cow hoverin'?
That sure is a sight, ain't it Jack?

Now where is that good for nothin' lazy lad?
Slackin' in the barn agin'?
Soon as it's night, the boy's gonna sleep!

And why in the devil's the corn all lighted up like this?
Someone's got a bunch o' candles fired up in there?
That's a fire hazard, and no mistake!

There's a whole patch of flatten'd up stalks,
How is an honest farmer s'posed t'get his work done, heh?
And those children playing hide-and-seek, I can here 'em.

Odd, I could swear on Monty my award-winning bull I just saw one past, all naked and green.
T's not right, 't's not right that's what it is.

I'd go to bed but I'm floating too now,
Heh, from here I see the lad, snoring near the horse stalls,
Knew it.
